When the sun rose over Santa Monica last week, Steven Raichlen gave CNN reporter Sibila Vargas a quick overview of the American barbecue trail. The menu? Chili rubbed grilled shrimp cocktail. Beer can chicken. Cilantro grilled corn. Garlic grilled tomatoes. And grilled pineapple for dessert. The recipes can be found in How to Grill and Indoor Grilling, and the show will air on CNN (domestic channel) on Saturday, May 21st in the 6-7 p.m. time slot (EST), and again on Sunday, May 22nd in the 4 to 5 p.m. time slot. Here, Steven shows Sibila how to make beer can chicken on a gas grill. The grill in question is Barbeques Galore’s flagship Grand Turbo gas grill. Pictured in the lower right hand corner are Steven’s new poultry smoking chips, which will be available in the Barbecue Store in June.
