1.Tell us how you plan to spread the word about The Barbecue Bible! 10th Anniversary Edition. Email a short proposal (100 words or less) to BBQ10@workman.com. Do you blog about ‘Que or (gasp) participate in forums other than BarbecueBible.com? Are you a top-rated Amazon reviewer? Do you cook for your block party?

2. All entries must include your name and e-mail address, snail-mail address for package delivery, and links to any sites or blogs you write/review for (if applicable), and must be received no later than April 7, 2008.

On April 8, 2008, we will announce the winners on BarbecueBible.com and send out copies of the The Barbecue Bible! 10th Anniversary Edition sampler to 10 lucky participants. Rules and Regulations

ELIGIBILITY: Grill Ahead Contest Celebrating The Barbecue Bible! 10th Anniversary Edition (the “Contest”) is open to legal U.S. residents (excluding Puerto Rico) age 21 and over. Employees of Workman Publishing, Charcoal Companion and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, promotional partners and their immediate families are not eligible to enter. The Contest is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES: By participating in the Contest, each entrant accepts these official rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final. Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in disqualification from contest.

TIMING: The contest begins at 5:00 pm Eastern Time March 26, 2008, and all entries must be received by 5:00 pm Eastern Time April 7, 2008. Winners will be contacted no later than April 8, 2008.

HOW TO ENTER:
Email BBQ10@workman.com with your proposal of 100 words or less describing how you plan to promote The Barbecue Bible! 10th Anniversary Edition. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, incomplete entries. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Only one entry per person. If multiple entries are submitted by any person, only the first entry received by Sponsor will be entered into the contest. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. The purchase of any goods or services will not increase an entrants chance of winning.

SELECTION OF WINNER: Ten finalists will be selected by the barbecue staff at Workman Publishing. Judging will be based on enthusiasm and creativity, and the potential audience you’ll reach. THE JUDGES’ DECISIONS SHALL BE FINAL AND BINDING. All winners will be notified by e-mail by April 8, 2008.


CONTEST PRIZES: Ten winners will be selected to receive and review The Barbecue Bible! 10th Anniversary Edition. Each winner will receive a collectible color bound sampler of The Barbecue Bible! 10th Anniversary Edition and an autographed copy of The Barbecue Bible! 10th Anniversary Edition upon its publication.

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: By entering or accepting a prize in this contest, the winner agrees to be bound by these Official Rules, and to conform to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. All licenses, registrations, federal, state, and local taxes are the winners’ sole responsibility. There are no prize substitutions, transfers, or cash equivalents permitted. Unless prohibited, entry into this contest constitutes permission to use participants’ and winners’ names, written entries, likenesses, and addresses (city and state) for advertising and/or publicity purposes for this or similar promotions or in future Steven Raichlen books and/or newsletters without compensation. Void in Puerto Rico and where otherwise prohibited or restricted by law.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify this Contest in the event that this Contest is not capable of being conducted or completed as planned for any reason including, without limitation, as a result or computer virus(es), bugs, tampering, or technical failures of any kind. If the Contest is canceled or terminated, notification will be posted at www.barbecuebible.com. In the event that an individual attempts to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest Sponsor, in addition to disqualifying such person from in this Contest, reserves the right to seek damages and all other available remedies (whether at law or in equity) against him or her.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: By entering this Contest, entrant agrees to release and hold harmless, Sponsor and the proprietors of the website www.barbecuebible.com, their affiliates and related companies and each of their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
